At what age?

Hi, ditendra! Just curious; if you don't believe in these things (which is perfectly fine) what drew you to join this community?
Hi. I love horror movies, dark music and I love reading stuff about paranormal things. I find it interesting & something is drawing me to those things, but certainly I don't believe, I'm atheist.

So at what age did you decide you didn't believe in the paranormal/supernatural, and what prompted that decision?
I never believed. There's no proof that all this stuff is real. We are all born atheists, until other people imprint in our brains religions, spirits, demons, gods and etc... and make us believe in those things.

I wish I didn't at times but after a lifetime of experiences it's a bit hard to not believe. It's just a matter of having an open mind,if you convince yourself you don't think it exists you will never experience anything paranormal imo.
And if you convince your brain that those things are real, your brain will trick you that it's real and you will experience those things, but it's an illusion.

Anyway, I hope this discussion won't turn into argument, this isn't my goal. If you believe in paranormal things, it's your choice and I respect it, I have my beliefs and views and I don't believe and never experienced or saw any miracle, so I have zero reason to believe in unbelievable/irrational things. I had only two things in life that are hard to explain and perhaps we could could fit them in paranormal stuff & that's why I decided to join community (and second reason for joining is that I find interesting to read such things, I think I only stated it already) to share them here and listen what people who believe in such things will say about this:

I see elevens very often, sometimes so often that it's creepy. I can't explain why it happens, only rational explanation is too much coincidence.

And another thing is - When I was a kid, at night I heard some strange chants. It was very weird, who would be singing at 3 or 4 AM. But it was many many years ago and I remember it vaguely. Maybe my head imagined those sounds, this is the only rational explanation I can find.

Does your brain pick you up and throw you into a wall? I think not.You being an atheist has nothing to do with the paranormal.I'm not religious but it didn't save me from a lifetime of this stuff. You are just not open and have put up a wall which renders you unable to experience this.It makes me wonder why you are drawn to the paranormal as with music, books and movies, which are a pale contrast to the reality of it. This stuff is all around you if you let your guard down, most people aren't that game.

You want to say some force threw you to the wall?
Let me ask you one question: If this is real, and there's some mysterious force in nature that interacts with us physically, throwing people to the wall, why it never happens to people who don't believe in those things or why it doesn't happen usually like anything else? Why there hasn't been proof of such things on videos?

It doesn't happen to people that are not sensitive and open because as I already stated they have put a wall up.Its not a movie for entertainment of the masses. There is no point talking to you about it as you have a closed mind to this.I don't have your answers, nobody has,it just is.

welcome to the P.N.F. ditendra. Skepticism is healthy attitude and welcomed here too. You will find a very wide range of experiences shared here.

I'm atheist.
What does being an atheist have to do with anything?...cryptids can exist without religion, as can ufo's, ghosts, abilities etc..... this isn't religion really, as a matter of fact religion also tells NOT to believe in most of this, (remember it was religion that burned the witches, it was religion that hunted the werewolves, it was religion that killed Jesus Christ, which launched a whole new religion that went world wide, wrap your thoughts around that one...lol) so you are actually closer in line with religious beliefs by not being a believer...lol... but, be that as it may, by being so adamant and determined to be an "atheist" you are actually failing to understand that religion and spirituality are completely different things and states of being, that is too bad, you are limiting yourself to a completely different understanding.
