Last night on Midnight in the Desert, while speaking with Graham Hancock about possible past comet strikes on Earth, Art mentioned all the internet chatter about something headed toward us from space, with a possible September impact. Do you place any credence in the notion, or dismiss it as more of the usual "doomsday is upon us" chatter?
One prediction of doom hasn't left our rear view any more before another pops up on the horizon. There have always been doomsayers amongst us, but catastrophe seems to be the predominant thread running through the culture now. Each new prediction of death and destruction must be more shocking than the last or maybe no one will notice. Most of the fear mongers (and despite the fact that he sometimes has good info, I put Alex Jones in that camp) just want to sell you something, but there are some whose entire purpose appears to be frightening people.
As you might surmise, I say bollocks to the September doomsday theory. I know there will be a blood moon, but I don't necessarily think that portends a comet collision. Maybe there will be upheaval, but nothing as drastic as some are predicting.
Your opinion?
