That which is conscious must also possess intelligence, we might also suggest consciousness is intelligence or a development of intelligence, just as ice is a development of water.
Consciousness that has nothing to be conscious of, would be pure intelligence, and out of that intelligence arose consciousness.
So now we have the possibility of a universe that could be both intelligent, and conscious.
The idea should not be trying to prove one or other thing, but instead; keep focusing your own intelligence on the question, until your own consciousness discovers that which is real, xx
