Good one and very trueNot really an old saying, but in the deep south the phrase " bless your heart " can have many multiple meetings, usually not good....lol.... Example, it is apparently OK to gossip about someone as long as you end what your saying witth bless their heart, .... Or if someone makes a mistake, or does something stupid, someone may say bless your heart, instead of questioning their intelligence, lol....kind of a get out of jail free card to say what you want about someone and still sound genteel....lol
