A reporter was asked how he could get 10 rifles up to his room. No real answer. A golf bag is my guess. It would look in place, and the golf bag would most likely be inside a giant travel bag.
 
does anyone know his motives or affiliations?
 
Speculating. The girlfriend was Indonesian. She may have been a radical Muslim, and recruited him. She is out of the country. ISIS has claimed credit this am. I'm gonna wait a few days and then the basic facts can be sorted out. First reports are notoriously wrong.

So far he has a pretty clean record with no red flags. If he wanted to simply commit suicide, I wish he had just done that rather than choosing to take out so many others with his misery.

Good idea Paint. Either a golf bag, and/or several trips with bags. A sporting rifle, AR platform, with collapsible stock in .223 can be as short as 31.25" - so I hear. I've read he had the .223/5.56 and possibly .308/7.62 The gun control nuts are going to be going crazy.

I've been watching the reports this morning with a deep sadness. In this day where some take a knee, others rushed forward to help the injured. While some raise a fist, fingers were used to plug bullet holes and stem the blood. We are all one. We need to come together.

Sea, did you hear the news piece w/ the full auto fire. If that was on an AR platform it was firing way to slow. More like a chugga chugga sound than the fast zip of an M-16. Maybe he converted it and the cycle is too slow?
Source is Ft. Knox experience and a pal that was into the machine gun hobby. The video was not slowed because the people were running.
I guess the point is most full auto fire doesn't sound like the movies. This sounded more like a heavy weapon..... Or am M1A1 (M-14.)? Thinking out loud.
