When I was a little kid I always carried a transistor radio around the ball park. Still do at work !
Not to sound like a total nerd but ,..... you can find local College stations or tiny radio stations around. What's fun is you can broaden your horizons musically.
My Godfather turned me on to a music station that was locally broadcast. They would play any music that was really good. So they would play The Beatles and the Stones and turn around and do Mozart and the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. That was pretty cool that we got to share that.
Another fun one is when we do a job in a neighboring town. I think this guy is just broadcasting out of his garage. Sounds exactly like the radio on the school bus in 1977.
