First, WELCOME to all the new members! So glad to have you with us! I know we have many US members, but I'm seeing a lot of International people here, too! Share with us a bit about yourself! Where are you from? What are your interests? Let's get to know each other a bit!

I'm from just south of Indianapolis, although born up in the Chicago area. Spent a few years down in Florida, but now Indy is my home. Just say the word "paranormal" and I'm there! Anything spiritual, ghosts, energy work, ancient civilizations, and discussions of religion are my main areas of interest.

I'm a skeptic and atheist from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I spent part of my life as a believer trying to find paranormal stuff as a member of obscure sects, esoteric orders and spiritualistic circles. And yes, I've tried to contact gnomes, aliens and entities from other dimensions without success. Then, I realized that I love to collect all sorts of paranormal bullshits as a hobby including conspiracy theories, pseudosciences and quackery.

Born and raised in Oshawa, Ontario. Up north in the Soviet Socialist Republic of Canuckistan.

Spent a few years living, studying, and watching football in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Like Gigaview, I'm a skeptic first and foremost, but I've always been interested in why people believe what they do - sometimes moreso than what they may believe in. This isn't to say I don't have a spiritual or religious side, though. And I have plenty of respect for people with honest to goodness, legitimate religious beliefs. That said, I have little time for frauds, quacks, fearmongers, and any other persons who prey off the fears or ignorance of others.

Nice to have you here, Cash. Our "Vega" boy up there, lmodog, is a Scot who has explained to me some of the ins and outs of "football" in Scotland!
And I shall add you into our "Skeptics" group, and even as a believer myself, I think your statement on frauds, quacks, etc., is absolutely correct!
