There is a Robin in the garden that has become rather tame. If Indoors and it sees me it will perch as close as it can - look directly at me and sing.
If outdoors it will do the same, but it is the fact that it sees me indoors that makes me smile.
A good beer or wine that I made myself, and the pop of a flip-top bottle that means I got the carbonation level right.
Bumble bees working on the thyme I planted. I counted 17 on one plant last year.
Driving my land rover. It's not new or pretty but it works and I built it.
Sitting on the patio under the magnolia with the grill going, hearing the wind chimes hung high overhead..( I hang chimes high in the tree over the patio ) ..while the evening sun catches the colors of all the bottles hung on the other side..the greens, blues, Amber's, etc.. a coleidescope of color on that side...( A southern thing, along with painting the porch cielings blue....) And hearing the water from the pond.... I complain about the leaves all the time but actually love the tree, with its head sized, citrus smelling flowers and the eco system of life it has became.....always makes me smile.....
