What puts a knot in your stomach?

And I gotta tell you, I'm not sure of the answer either! Trying to find out.
 
I have an extreme fear and inability to be able to look over building ledges and very tall bridges. I got a panic attack on the St Louis Arch and the Eiffel tower mini version in Kings Island. I can rock climb and free climb also rappel off cliffs like a pro though.

So anything man-made ? I have to admit as I get older, any kind of open height gets to me. Closed height like inside a building, I am ok.
