I agree. It does look like a modern-day cell phone tho, I will give them that. The pic of the lady walking on the street with the big phone looking device is a better bet. That pic has been around a long time.

The thing is, there was no cell tower infrastructure to use a mobile phone before 1980. If the person was talking into something, it was most likely a walkie-talkie device.
