Scientists invent the Terminator T-1000

But yet when things go wrong, they'll be nowhere to be found. They'll tuck and run. I don't care how intelligent they are. They're still idiots to me.
That's the problem with science. They poke at things thinking they are in complete control...nope. I understand the need to explore and learn, but when it comes to "it can take over the planet" they don't have enough safety in place. Knowing they might blow up the planet doesn't seem to get in the way if the odds look favorable.

There should be limits on what we choose to explore. But this is asking for it.

I agree. Problem is there is no enforcement or oversight on many of these things. And implementing guidelines won't stop those who go rogue and don't care.
