Wow, too many to list - I loved candy bars more than just sweet candy types. Of the "retro" ones, I'd say Cup O' Golds, Sixlets, Mountain Bars, Zero Bars, Rocky Road, Coconut Slices Candy Bar, Idaho Spud, Chick-O-Stick, Seven Up Candy Bar, and that's off the top of my head.
As for current production candy... Nestle Crunch, Reece's Peanut Butter Cups, Malted Balls, Kit Kat, Heath Bar, Mounds, Milky Way, Junior Mints, Butterfinger, caramels, Toblerone, just to name a few. Did I mention I liked candy bars?
Patrick Wayne!I was not much of a candy bar guy, but in addition to the "Sky Bar" I mentioned previously, I liked what seemed like the short-lived "Marathon Bar." Very different compared to other candy bars because it was not a bar. View attachment 14384
BONUS--CAN ANYONE NAME THE ACTOR PORTRAYING "MARATHON JOHN" IN THE 1970S AD SHOWN ABOVE??
Patrick Wayne!
What’s something you can’t get there, I’ll put it in the box with your socks.I liked a Milky Way which you can still get but just not the same. A Mars bar similarly but that was a rare treat as it was expensive. We had an item here called a Monster Bar just known as an MB Bar, poor quality but thick chocolate around a fondant and very cheap. Lots of others like chocolate buttons, sherbet fountains (cardboard tube with a stick of licorice sticking out the top). Many of these items were unavailable for years but specialist suppliers are now starting to introduce them again.
