I had this fear that I would have sticker shock. The board prices were not exceptionally high and piece selection went fine. Not too many bad boards to sort.

Feel like temp currently 96 with 70% humidity.

It's 93 here, 62% humidity and it feels like 107. We're more than used to it here but it seems the humidity has increased more than the temperatures have. I just hope there's going to be another cold winter.

Only a few short weeks to go and we're there. The Farmer's Almanac is calling for a chillier winter here beyond that, so I'm in.

Ready for another story? Hubs and son were in the kitchen. Joining them was a very large wasp. I heard whacking, things pounding, some cussing from out that way. Learned later that WAS my nice cutting board being smacked against a wall. Seems the flying attacker managed to outwit and outplay the tag team out there on round one. Until....my hubs sat down in the chair to catch his breath.

Yup! Stung on the butt! At which point there was another flurry of whacking and cussing...followed by a dose of Benedryl.

It lost round #2.
