it was a beautiful weekend here too. a little rain early yesterday but then another nice day. we are also starting to get those hints of the southern summer heat and humidity.

after a very busy and tiring day saturday, i was able to relax sunday and get the iron bed project on to the final stage. here are a few pics of where the progress has led so far. one more coat of paint and then a clear coat along with cutting and staining the slats will finish it up..... so far though its going fairly well.... thoughts?

Thanks Critter, wish i would have taken more "before" pics. it was really heavily rusted. wasnt sure i could do anything with it. but quite a few hours later and three wire wheels for the angle grinder later , (not to mention a mishap and loss of skin on one hand....ouch), its taking shape pretty well.....lol
