I'm also reminded of a school playground song:

Why are we waiting?
I am suffocating...

Luckily I'm not quite at that point just now.

Ben, seriously, I'm praying for you. I hope it's not this virus.

Good news! I just had an over the phone test where I had to hold my breath for as long as I could and also count to thirty fast without breathing. I passed both with aplomb, so apparently I've gone from getting out of breath sitting down doing nothing earlier to mister lung capacity in the hours I've been waiting! I hope it holds.
My chest still feels awful, but... well. I can't believe how quickly that passed, but I am so, so happy that it did.

Excellent news. Now, get some rest and allow your body to heal, babe.

With pleasure! Can we chalk that up to a 'power of prayer' result? I'm still amazed at how well that went. I can't help but think that the combined prayers and wishes of you lot and my family had some effect. Thanks.

I believe in the power of prayer, Ben. Should you need more, you let us know. We pray every night here at 9 PM. I just posted the prayer on the chat thread a few minutes ago. Feel free to add an amen there.

Shouldn't there be a shortage of other products using the same logic? Coffee, for example. I'd guess people are drinking at least 40% more coffee at home than pre-isolation orders. And like TP, there is a distinction between the coffee used commercially and residentially. Add to the equation many coffee shops, including Starbucks, have closed.

Not being a coffee drinker this wouldn't effect me, but I haven't heard of any issues with coffee availability.

Duke...don't you dare mess with my coffee supply! lol

So far that does not seem to be an issue. I have no clue why, but I can get it just fine. Especially the store brands. Now, creamer on the other hand has at times been a wee bit iffy.

Today's pick up form Walmart had everything I ordered. They continue to limit amounts, but what I ordered came in. There are still things NOT available, such as TP, paper towels, and Ramen noodles, but they tell you that right up front when you try to order it.

To all the truckers out there driving their butts off, THANK YOU!

Having read a number of blogs relative to online ordering, I saw there can be a lag on item availability between order and pickup times. In my case, pickup is four days on, so stuff that showed available on Thur may not be available Mon. Also read Kroger's is not accepting returns of home delivered groceries, even if their substitutions are way out there.

The worst substitution I got was from Kroger....seems the kid pulling the groceries felt canned green beans were a good sub for frozen Lima beans.

My son does pick up at the store, not delivery, and they allow you to refuse substitutions on site at pick up. Today, at Walmart, they were out of the 48 K cup pack I had ordered but they subbed in a 94 cup pack for the same price. You just never know....it's like that box of chocolates Forrest has. And what they didn't have when I ordered suddenly showed up in today's order....garbage bags. They subbed in, but they were garbage bags of the same size.
