Back when I was in my mid teens and it was time to think about what courses to study seriously there was advice on careers and options as usual, but my school also took part in a new futuristic computer dating version of careers advice! We all had to consent to take part and then filled in a lot of questions about not only aptitude in different things but also our attitudes, with questions such as
'I respect authority'
strongly disagree / disagree/ neutral/ agree / strongly agree
And
'I enjoy helping others'
It had a lot of questions, some of which were surprising and we answered them all. They were sent of to be fed into the computer and then the results came back. In the end everyone was disappointed as they saw what boring non-heroic or well paying job they were best suited for. Office worker, shop worker, enlist. At best maybe lab assistant.
I got an real oddity which nobody else got and I deeply regret not going after it.
'TV presenter.'
(If any production companies are reading, I'm open to offers.)
