A haunting at Vibe's...

Hi Vibe. Glad grandma is ok.
didnt you have haunting issues around that building before? Maybe it's time for a house blessing. Bless the windows and doors with holy water. I've heard putting bowls of salt in the four corners of the house helps too. Maybe debi could comment on if this is effective. I've heard adding ground charcoal to the salt is more effective. Keep us posted.

Thanks, Lynne. No we haven't had issues with that building before, at least not to our knowledge. We contacted our priest to come bless the house but it turns out he's been relocated to Spain. However, he remotely blessed the house from there, but I don't know how effective that is. And given what's happened afterwards, I don't think it helped. But I will try the salt and ground charcoal and see what happens.

Lights

So last week (once at work and once at home), I have experienced moments where a white light flashes in the room behind me. The time at work I was browsing the web at work and I saw this speck of brilliant white light flash on my laptop screen. I thought someone snapped a photo of me from behind so I turned around but didn't see anything out of place and no one else saw anything. I didn't think anything of it at first so I ignored it. The second time I was in my room busy sorting stuff out on the bed and there was a flash of brilliant white light that came from behind me again, this time a lot brighter. It was as though (again) someone took a photo of me from behind but this time using a high powered flash. Don't know if this is something paranormal or if there's a medical reason for seeing this light, so any thoughts and opinions on that would be appreciated.

On Saturday evening, me and my girlfriend were watching a movie on TV in the lounge. Now before I continue I need to explain the layout of the situation here. So the house has like an internal garden with passages going all the way around it, the main passage leading to the bedrooms has a large window looking into the internal garden, and the door way to the passage opens into the lounge just before another large window looking into the internal garden. So when the light goes on in that passage you can see it shining against the wall in the internal garden. While we were watching the movie, my girlfriend sits up and looks out the window, but I look at her and ask what's wrong. She says the passage light just went on for a bit and then went off. I asked if she was sure and she said she saw it light up through the window. I thought maybe my mom had gotten up and accidentally switched it on instead of the bathroom light (since one of the passage light switches is in her room), so I asked if she had switched it on and she said no. When she left the lounge that night, she took a sleeping pill and went straight to bed and was only up at 4am.

Personally I think there is something very powerful in the house as I still feel presences and it looks like so does my girlfriend. We are thinking of calling another priest we know to physically come to bless the house and we see if that fixes anything, and I'm going to try the suggestions everyone's given. Will keep you guys posted as things progress.

Just a friendly reminder about making holy water just like a Catholic Priest. I have those ingredients in my kitchen. I have the actual prayers said in a series of Holy Catholic books given to me by a Priest. While with these elements combined, I may know the method to make Holy Water , but something that is overall 100% essential is missing.
So maybe it is not 'the method' that changes the substance of water.
Faith is surely a component? I have faith. I'm Catholic. Why can't I make USDA genuine Catholic Holy Water? The kind that spooks out the demons!

This line of logic can go on and on.
So. Why not faith or a method?
Authority. I have no authority to do so. Only a consecrated Priest has the charism to do so in the Roman Catholic Church. It matters not if you are the most faith filled parishioner, or a flat out vile Priest. The Bishops consecration wins. Only then Holy Water is the real deal. Same with Baptisms, Confirmation, Confession, Marriage, and Burial . 5 off the 7 sacraments. The Priest can be a horrible person, but the sacraments are valid. Not negated because of him.
So just a heads up. Holy Water is not a do it yourself recipe based on a magical method or Faith. Catholic Holy Water can only be made by a Priest consecrated by a Bishop in an unbroken chain of succession from when Jesus gave Peter The Keys.
Otherwise, have at it. Just don't call it Catholic.

Thank you for that clarification, Paint. Yes, there are "recipes" for other "holy water" out there, but it is NOT the same as Catholic Holy water. In fact, almost every experienced investigator out there uses the Catholic form of Holy Water, as it has been shown that it has impact upon evil entities. Even though I am not Catholic (at this point in time), it is what I have exclusively used for any cleansings or protections I have done over the years. I get mine direct from my nun friend, however, most Catholic Churches will gift you some when asked nicely. (Although they do appreciate any donations to the parish, which I do as a way of a thank you.)

So from the Catholic Church's standpoint, what capacity of faith or intention is needed from someone wishing to use catholic holy water?
