What happens to the body after a year in space

Mind transference (psychodynamic neuropsychiatry) through systems currently being researched and developed via the study of neuro links (such as Elon Musk's (questionable) work) and other (questionable) 'brain chips', merged into robotics, may pave the way for 'human' advancement into deep space exploration. Other than that, I cannot see how we can advance in space travel, and its occupation, without actually living in space and allowing our bodies to evolve over a number of millennia...........

I think that within the next few hundred years (if we actually last that long........), the human race will look nothing like it does today, or at least, certain 'branches' of it, whether that be through scientific or natural evolution.
It would have to be through genetic manipulation more than selection or evolution in that time frame. They should put their energy and money into managing our planet.
