LOWELL, Ind. (WTHR) - The search is on for a wallaby running loose in Lowell.
According to The Times of Northwest Indiana, the owner of a traveling petting zoo was passing through Tuesday night and woke up a day later to find the animal had escaped its cage.
A local veterinarian told The Times the wallaby is probably not dangerous, but is likely "scared to death at this point." Pat Leininger offered the Leininger Veterinary Clinic's phone number - 219-696-6300 - to anyone who spotted the wallaby.
