I've always wanted one and still may buy one. I would love to go hunting for Civil War relics. If I found treasure yea, try and sell the loot to the Smithsonian (discreetly). Lol

The best place to find real...treasure is metal detecting over popular beaches! I knew a guy who did that and found watches and rings all the time.

Sadly it sounded like he only got a finders fee he had to split with the land owner. I think the government took the find.
