Not quite sure what to make of that one. The fact they were on a college campus and near an observatory to me explains the group of people looking up in the sky. The fact they were sitting outside at around 9pm on a hill, probably 'not in the right state of mind' and their imagination got away from them. Not sure about the 'light'. If they were near streets and or the parking lot, i could see something creating the light. Kind of hard to judge this one. Too many variables to rule out.
