They were strange times when the Romans 'occupied' Great Britain. The one site that was decimated by that, they found scorched earth was rather interesting. When in Newfoundland, i heard similar accounts of St John being burned to the ground. The city was built on fire blocks, so it was a bit strange to maneuver around there.
