A pilot from Virginia has opened up about a peculiar incident wherein he witnessed a golden UFO outside of his aircraft as he flew over the Midwest.

My first thought was they were seeing a reflection off another aircraft. If we knew where he was at the time of the sighting, it's fairly easy to go to a flight tracker app and look at what aircraft, if any, were around him.
I do find it noteworthy the pilot actually says in the video (link on the C2C story) the object was "shining Iike the reflection off a car."
