Authorities in Utah are sounding the alarm about a weird and worrisome trend wherein people hammock atop power lines.

Evidently, the writer of that story has never been up close to power lines like those. The three arms extending out on each side are where the lines are run. Even out there they are hung from the cross member and nowhere near in contact. The people climbing the tower never come much closer to the lines than they were when standing on the ground. Been there done that in my younger and dumber years. The view was spectacular but it was a ONE-TIME and NEVER again thing. The wind up there was strong and going down seemed a lot harder than the going up was. I think it is that when you are going up you are looking up where when going down you keep looking down and questioning your sanity!
