why even do this???...... of course that is the question i think you have to ask yourself.... "why am i doing this??".. and you had better search your soul very deeply. bragging rights?, sense of accomplishment?.. all the wrong reasons...... kinda like the selfless act philosophy... is it really a selfless act if doing it to feel better of oneself?...etc... just things to ponder on. he didnt ponder enough unfortunately.
This is very sad. I believe these things are possible for those on such a high spiritual level that they can control their physicality. This poor man threw away his life on this. The bible tells us to treat the body as a temple. I feel sad for his loss and those who may have benefited from his life.
