That's something that should be disclosed to anyone preparing to rent or buy a home. I'd want to know. I get that if you're the owner (or trust, in this case) it might not work to your advantage, but it's very unfair to potential renters and buyers. If you have to tell me about a door that sticks in summer, then you should also have to tell me that a murderer lived there.

I think since they were renters there did not have to be disclosure. There are ways to find out, but who's going to think to do that in advance of renting?
