Yeah, hopefully setting the atmosphere added to the description of the smells & tastes. That and the old musty lakeside basement filled w/ inventions out of a 1932 Frankenstein movie, barrels of fermenting fish, fish in Lye, and the fishy smell of fishing gear. Upstairs, Great Grandma decorated in art deco 1950's colors, atomic age furniture, and taxidermy. It was.. like something out of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
I am now the keeper of her big marble topped coffee table.

This reminds me of Andrew Zimern's Bizarre Foods. He would eat some funky foods on that show. Stuff buried for months, fish in Lye, anything rotting or putrefied... the list is long on foods I will not eat from this show alone!
