MYSTERY coffin-like boxes have been discovered near ancient pyramids in Egypt – leading many to believe they've been built by aliens.
The 25 granite boxes were found just 12 miles south from the Great Pyramid of Giza in the ancient necropolis of Saqqara near Memphis in Lower Egypt.
UFO hunters believe the high precision of engineering of each of the black stone boxes is remarkable, even by 21st century standards.
UFO and alien theorist Brien Foerster said: "The precision is very 21st century, or at least 20th century.”
He argues that the precision of construction of the surfaces of stone boxes, which are 100-tonnes with 30-tonne lids, and the angles are “within a few ten thousandths of an inch”.
It is not known how the ancient Egyptians had the technology to make the skilfully cut stone boxes – leading UFO researchers to suggest they were designed and constructed by aliens that visited the country.
But some say that it should not surprise anyone that the ancient Egyptian engineers were capable of such remarkable engineering feat.
