Gators might be born drug addicted. Think of it: gators more aggressive. Imagine gators more animal like, reactive, snappier instead of slow moving on land. Their gator minds could de-evolve. No sitting in the sun for them - just running and eating. No treading water anymore just snorkeling in a layer of slime. Angry gators.
