124,000 thousand miles across is unbelievable. The sun is so huge compared to earth it boggles the mind.

Let's just hope that thing doesn't fire off anything big in our direction!
Astronomer Bob Berman and I spoke about this possibility on several occasions. Most don't even think about the sun having the ability to obliterate our entire digital infrastructure. EV cars could be killed instantly. I'll only purchase a real gas powered vehicle, and prefer one made before the 2000s.
same here, much prefer an older car without the electronics.... even better for any type of emp type event is diesel powered vehicles.
