We really need to remove this thing in us called* fear it really handicaps the human race.

We really need to remove this thing in us called* fear it really handicaps the human race.

BUT - if we did that, what would we be like as humans? After all, fear is a primaeval survival instinct. It helps us survive conflicts - both physical and spiritual. It tells us, deep within our core, that something is 'just not right' and we get that 'flight or fight' sensation - more often than not, leading to the 'flight' option!

Being 'fearful' is one of the traits that make us human - as does compassion, forgiveness and consciousness. Take away fear, then we just become biological 'robots' - not afraid of anything or anyone and, as a result, doing whatever we are told to do, potentially putting us in situations that would be completely insane. If there was no 'fear factor' in humanity, there would be someone who would exploit this. People already exploit 'fear' in humanity as it is.

Yes, fear does handicap the human race, but on some occasions, such as the fear of reprisals on using Nuclear weapons upon society, it has its benefits........
