Former first lady Rosalynn Carter dead at 96

Former U.S. first lady Eleanor Rosalynn Carter died peacefully Sunday afternoon in Plains, Georgia, surrounded by her family.

A sad day but she had a long life in terms of us humans. I was shocked to learn Jimmy Carter was still alive. He is 99 and the longest living president.

She was a very pretty First Lady and I liked hearing her talk with that Georgia accent. She represented the First Lady office well.
