A Swedish company has come up with a rather clever way of curbing litter by training crows to collect discarded cigarette butts.

Someone wrote a dystopian future book where the humans got a virus and turned in to zombies and all the pets were on their own. The main character is a crow that was raised by a man who also had a dog. The crow and the dog set out to find a functioning human and never do until the end. Very weird, but interesting zombie book. Hollow Kingdom by Jane Buxton.
