Egypt reopens ancient "Avenue of Sphinxes" centuries after it hosted parades for the gods

The 1.7-mile-long "Path of God," lined with more than 1,000 sphinx and ram statues, spent centuries buried by the sands of time. It was reopened with all due pomp and ceremony.

This is an amazing excavation. The video at the site is well worth watching. The first half shows a lot of the site. Now if they would just find the hidden chamber under the spinx. I guess there is much more to dig up. The work continues. At least it is now a place that can be visited. Looks like a huge investment in tourist dollars.
