People in the past did what worked for them. No education, few that could read or write. A story telling society that we wouldnt recognise today. I love the fact that an altar to Pan was found in that church. Most churches in Europe were built on ancietn pagan sites I believe. Religions evolve just like people maybe. Who knows whats next?

I think repurposing buildings is just easier than building new ones. This was a cool find. It’s amazing how artifacts last through the ages.
