Artificial Intelligence WARNING: AI 'capable predicting and manipulating YOUR future'
ARTIFICIAL Intelligence is capable of predicting your future thoughts without knowing anything about you, scientists have warned.

The process uses social media accounts of known associates to accurately build a profile on an individual. A new study looked at more than 30 million posts from around 13,000 social media users to create a prediction on future activity. The results showed that, using as little as nine friends of one user, accurate predictions could be generated.

The findings have troubling implications for online privacy – namely that, in theory, not even leaving Facebook or Twitter would make someone exempt.

Published in online journal, Nature Human Behaviour, lead scientist James Bagrow revealed how they conducted the study.

He wrote: “The ability of a machine learning methods to accurately profile individuals from their online traces [followers] is reflected in the predictability of their written text.

“Indeed, with a language model trained to predict the words a user will post online, one can construct a profile of the user by evaluating the likelihoods of various words to be posted, such as terms related to politics.

“Thus, quantifying the predictive information contained within a user's text allows us to understand the potential accuracy such methods can potentially achieve given a user's data."

Computers looked at users’ past writings and categorised them based on the contents of the tweets.

They showed that users typically only wrote between 45 and 256 different words when composing tweets.

I get why they are collecting this data, to improve advertising and the bottom line -sales. What happens when some outsider like law enforcement wants access to the data ?

It's already happened. Not "what if" at all. Your DNA can now be used to track down others related to you for law enforcment if you have used any of the DNA kits out there. I recently found out that despite HIPPA law, your med records can be accessed from many sources...not all legal but hey! Who's looking at legal anymore? You can be tracked by GPS. And don't forget, if you type something ANYWHERE on the web that might reference a service or item for purchase, you are going to see an ad for it within a few minutes. Don't think that's the only info they are gleaning.

It's already a done deal. They just have to slowly and incrementally get us to see this as a good thing for our "benefit." To keep us safe, you know. And, of course, it's "for the children." And now "It's for the good of the world."

This isn't politics. It's pretty much New World Order has already taken place and the tech has allowed it to happen faster. Big Brother is here.

Sacrificing freedom for safety to lose both in the future. Good plan..

Being caught up in the web at first was so amazing because it was like the whole world was out there to be explored without leaving the comfort of home, I did know at the time that an addiction such as the internet had a price... imagine another world gathering information from this planet surrounding it with technology ( the ability to communicate with anyone at anytime) this anomaly known as the world wide web has consumed us all, we are but an experiment in a far off science lab on planet X maybe when they are done they will take away the web but then what? can we live without AI? Mokey, add Planet X to my list plz. That is all.
