Hey Bob, I found a really cool looking rock in my garden and I'm wondering if you could identify this.
I cleaned it up and I think it's a piece of coral because it has sea shells stuck to it.

it's about the size of a football.

Looks like it might be a geode of some sort. If so, there should be crystals inside

A geode should have a hard smooth feeling surface on the outside, with a hollow inside, and crystals that have formed, usually quartz, but other types of crystals are possible. Probably not a dino brain, as soft tissue decays very fast and doesn't generally petrify

I cleaned it up with some tsp, bleach and a little bit of dish soap. It was all Caked Up in mud.

Very cool find. You never know what you are going to find......One of the largest diamonds ever found in America came out of a creek here in Monroe County, WV. It 34, or, so carats, as I recall. Ironically, it was found in "Rich Creek."
