Ppl make villian's of what they fear, fear turns to hate, and what we hate has to be made evil for justification..... Not saying you shouldn't fear it, it might just eat you...lol.... But does that make it evil ????

Agreed. We're also taught to fear entities that look like them through popular movies and culture as well as myths. It makes sense as to why someone would see one and be terrified. It's just the encounters don't add up to me. 99% of the encounters out there are from people that don't even have as much as a scratch on them. Even when a Dogman runs at them, nothing. If they were truly evil there wouldn't be very many people to tell their encounters. I also realize this doesn't account for encounters where people don't make it out alive, but there's too many where they do. It doesn't exactly scream evil. Even with the ones that seem to get a kick out of scaring people.

the whole "dogman" idea is relatively new, a reimagining or modern twist on the werewolf legends. perhaps because some dont believe one could shift between forms, so they create a separate new species. but if following the legends of old with the true werewolf, one who changes back and forth it would make since to not attack, to live among ppl in relative peace, that would be more of a self preservation tactic in the long run, dont ya think??... but like any thing else there will always be accidents or rogues or what not. these are all individual entities, not a collective, so their actions would be dependant on each ones personality. labeling every individual of a species as evil is not possible. one mans actions doesnt make all mankind good or evil.

I cant wait till someone posts their experience with a real one. I dont think people understand where the thing comes from and how it is manifested. Read tribal experiences with them and the reason one becomes one. I suppose there might be a nice one although I seriously doubt it. Its all just conjecture until it approaches you and you get a choice. I wish all of you luck but I cant tell you there is a nice side to this thing . I have my reasons but my advice is to volunteer at the local pet shelter or help those in need and let evil be. Just my opinion of course.

tribal legends of skinwalkers i dont categorize with the dogman or werewolf category, actually these are 2 very different entities, now days everyone thinks and depicts skinwalkers as werewolves but they are not the same. not even close.

oh im sorry, i hope you didnt take offence to what i wrote , i dont disagree with you on the topic of skinwalkers, they are of the dark arts, i was just saying i didnt see them as werewolves or dogmen, they use all sorts of dark majic to fulfill their wishes / agendas... and many animal forms, (so the legends go)... i do enjoy reading or watching about the topic though so please continue to give your opinion, im sure everyone would like to hear what you have to say or what you think on the topic..... you stated earlier you have your reasons, have you had encounters? if you would like to share it would be great, if not or its more personal or just not comfortable i understand that too.

No i didnt take offense because you are probably right about the different types,. Maybe they are interdimensional beings too?

Thats what I was thinking. Maybe it's some sort of frequency they put off to keep others away? I realize dead men tell no tales so there's encounters we don't hear of, but it seems almost rare for them to actually harm people. Even when they run at people they don't catch them and they easily could. Tells me alot of times they bluff charge. Maybe to get the person out of the area because they're territorial or because there's a young one around. I'm sure there's ones that kill, but I just have a personal feeling that those are Rogue's. Plus with all of modern culture and myths I think humans are made to feel like they're these evil entities when it just doesn't appear to be the case. Of course this is all just my opinion and I could be completely wrong.

Or you could be dead right on this, like most things paranormal or cryptid all we usually have are theories or gut feelings. If you study different experiences on a certain entity you may find common ground and that's probably the start of what's really happening.

I have another theory based on the Dogman being a transformed human. It may be evil or bad when in human form but once it has been exposed it loses all bad intentions and is just a more simple creature going about it's life with nothing sinister to hide. Maybe why some don't get evil vibes from it.
