The 1980's

i spent the first 2/3 rds of the 80's generally wasting a LOT of time.... biggest concern was concert tickets and trying not to be too serious about much of anything... just being young. .………. remember when you could call in dedications (music seemed to have more meaning then. ), to the local radio stations and cruise all night...those were the days.... though in the middle part i was lucky enough to get to travel some and experience more of what life had to offer...….the last 3 years of the 80's i spent much like duke described, became a little more serious and responsible , kinda found that balance in life. so the 80's for me was the decade of growth, transitioning from a boy to man and finding who i was as a person. learning the world is not all black and white, right or wrong, and to see the big picture.

I spent most of the 80s in airports and places that didn't have zip codes. I learned a great deal about the Mojave Green rattlesnake and the Giant Hairy scorpion.
Sounds familiar. I spent a lot of time in places without ZIP Codes like Dayton learning about Skyline Chili....which admittedly could be hairy at times.
