I couldn't find another place to post this, so I'm slapping it down here. Anyone see the Persieds this year? Something popped up on my radar last night and apparently the peak time to see the most meteorites is on August 12-13. I'm going to try to remember to wait until after moon set, which I think is around 3 am and try to capture as many photos as I can. I think I can go to the lake just to the north and find a relatively light free area.

Mrs Critter and I watched them two years ago at this time. We went to Skyline Drive in western Virginia, found a secluded dark spot, put the top down on our two seater, kicked back and watched for a couple of hours. Then we went to an all night diner. A fun date.

Clouds and rain almost every year :)

I have seen them and other showers in the past and really worth the experience.
