The one that I talk about was in Florida, and pre-siren era. And out here in nowhere, there are no sirens!

Severe thunderstorm warnings for Cook County. We get what Kankakee Illinois gets 20 minutes later. We have spent almost a week getting glancing blows of thunderstorms.

It was pouring on the White Sox game 15 minutes ago and now the sun is out. AM radio is still crackling so there is something big south of the city. Most of the radio stations use Towers in Tinley Park.

It's been moving up from the southwest here, and at a good speed. Sun is out now all of a sudden, but more forming as the two fronts clash. Still hoping they got it wrong!
