***Pulling up a chair and putting on her Mrs. Claus hat***
I truly believe all children should have a time of innocence and wonder. It allows them time to believe in anything...Little Pooh Bears in the woods, Big Red Dogs, and yes, Virginia, even Santa Claus. In doing that, they learn to spread their own wings and believe the stars are shining just for them and someday they can become anything they wish in their hearts to be.
My 12 year old granddaughter is dancing this weekend in the Nutcracker. She told me this once: Nana, when I dance, I can live another life, even if for just awhile. In my ballet slippers, I get to walk in someone else's shoes and feel all kinds of happy things.
That's why we all miss childhood. We have forgotten to feel all kinds of happy things. As for me, I still believe in Santa. His gifts are my happy memories.
