Christmas with a covering of snow on the ground. Idealized and romanticized in movies almost since there have been movies. But how often have you actually experienced one, and do you even want to see snow on Christmas? I can remember several Christmases with snow, and for me there is always something a little extra special about the day when there is a blanket of snow on everything. I think my most recent one was in 2009, when we had around a foot of snow on the ground. Living where I do now, it's probably not likely anytime soon!

I love Christmas snow! It's magical and transforms the world into a giant, glistening Christmas card! In my area, I have about a 50/50 chance of it each year. Now, the deal is I want it to disappear the day after. I am scared to death of walking/driving on snow and ice. And then there is the "doggie" issue of slipping, sliding, they-think-it's-acid thing. So, ideally, if it's here for 24 hours, I'm good! Anything after that, not so much.
