This time of year it's a wood burning smell. It reminds me of nights around a campfire roasting marshmallows.
I love that. I have a fireplace but no longer use it, however, the smell of that means "Fall" to me.

We have a lot of Fall festivals around here and there's always a campfire going at them. And the food trucks! Much like the county fair, their is a scent to Fall festivals as well!

Petroleum Distillates. Thinners. I swear I don't get a buzz off it. No, for real. For real, real.:) It's got a sweet flavor. And I may be in the right business.;)
Dad's Pall Malls, Uncles pipe, and I smoke 2 or 3 cigars a year.

Critter's reminded me of one. The smell of freshly cut grass in the Spring reminds me of playing on the golf team in high school. The smell of wet leaves in the Fall reminds me of going back to school, Fall semester at college. I love being at the coast, the smell of the ocean always reminds me of younger years at the beach and diving.
