Warning on Alien Viruses

In War of the Worlds bacteria or disease ending up weakening the aliens but why would Earth bound pathogens attack something that's not from Earth, it would have no interest as said. The same, why would alien pathogens affect us? I suppose they might but it's a long shot I feel.

You are right Oz. Risk of contagion would at least start with the method of spread - for example airborne or blood based pathogen. So humans would be more safe from an alien virus that spreads through contact with bodily fluids…that is until that first butthead decides to attempt an alien-human transfusion.
