Model Tila Tequila Is Determined To Prove To Everyone That The Earth is Flat

Tila Tequila is a model who is famous for her looks for sure, but many people overlook her brilliance. Tila Tequila is right up there with Stephen Hawking andNeil DeGrasse Tyson. Today she took to twitter to shed light and open our dumb little eyes to the TRUTH. #FlatEarth

If the earth was a spinning globe then how come airplanes can still land w/out crashing? Because the face of the earth is flat. Not a globe.

Wow, right off the bat she comes in with real heat. This is perhaps the biggest question ever asked in history. 'How come airplanes can still land without crashing?'Earth must be flat.

Why are all the buildings in NYC standing straight up? If earth was round then some of the buildings would have a slight tilt. #FlatEarth

Airplanes do not create their own gravitational forces. This "critical thinking" is the same thought processes used back in the mid-1800s. Prior to the invention of automobiles and fast moving steam trains it was a popular belief that people could not physically travel faster than they could on horseback; to do so would lead to certain death. While airplanes are flying around the world they are using hundreds of gallons of fuel not only to fly across the country or around the world, but is also using this as a method to defy the Earth's gravity. Unfortunately, airplanes are glued to the planet due to gravitational forces created by the mass of the planet (not the spinning effect). The Earth is so large that despite being "round" it is impossible to truly observe these curves from the surface level due to obstructions. However, centuries ago "round" Earth theories were produced since ships were observed "sinking" as they approached the horizon. This would not be possible with flat Earth theories. If the Earth was flat you could see across not only lakes but oceans as well using binoculars or a telescope; this is not possible due to the curve of the Earth.

Tila is correct only in saying that the Earth is not a globe, it's not, nor is it round. The Earth is actually a bit flatter at the poles and is a little bigger around the middle (aren't we all?). To make her statement as "matter of fact" is irresponsible to those who follow her and unfortunately may take her seriously. Just as I would never tell her what to wear at a photo shoot I would never take science advice from her.

The last words say it all; #PrayForTilaTequila
Well said.
