Yes, I am talking about the Holiday Season. The commercials, the shopping, the hype, the cooking, the stresss...........:eek: OK, so I may have given away that I am not the best "holiday" person! lol

So, I ask you.....Are you Charlie Brown? Are you Lucy? How about the Grinch? (with apologies to our very own Grinch for that one....lol) Do you just love the holidays and all that goes with it? Or do you live in fear of another season to "manage" and "get through". (I'm thinking you may have already figured me out here with this one.....;))

What say you?

I can enjoy it when the shopping is done .We try to get all the shopping done before the weather gets cold .The only thing I hate more than cold weather is the crowded stores when it gets close to Christmas .I will never do black Friday in order to save a few bucks . Actually,if they set aside one day a year that would guaranty a very limited number of people in the store,I might pay double the price. Oh well there I go being Grinchy again

I don't really get into the shopping spirit until one or two days before Christmas. I will shop on Amazon for those gifts that need a few days to arrive. Mostly all those ads drive me nuts. I generally know what I want to buy and don't need an ad to remind me of things that I do not want or need. So, a bit of a Grinch.jpg Grinch, I suppose.

I am the most non-shopping woman to walk the earth I think! I really do not like the whole commercialization of Christmas, either. Combine the two and we have Ms. Grinch here. I think everything I purchase, besides groceries, will be via the internet again this year. I normally only decorate with my little Charlie Brown Christmas tree, but I've been informed that with a 15 yr. old in the house this year I must do "more." ***sigh***

I see all these commercials that pack all this Christmas "nostalgia" into a 60 second clip and find myself in the movie Christmas Vacation. :rolleyes:

You could put me in the Grinch category too. Mostly for the reasons stated above. I would probably watch the entire holidays go by, if it weren't for the fact that I have an 8 year old girl. It's all for her. She is the only family member that is in my life anymore, so it's all about her.

I enjoy Christmas day. I really enjoy the family getting together and spending the day together. I just don't enjoy going anywhere to shop.

Im a hypocrite. I get dragged along to black friday excursions, all the while bitching about how commercialism is ruling the holidays.

Well, sorry to beak up your anti-party. ;) I go off-the-rails crazy. Ear slitting grin from Thanksgiving to New Years Day. Heck I don't even mind doing the dishes and being the designated driver.:p
