You sure that ISN'T a possum? Looks like one to me! And I know them kind of well....road kill around here. And I had one living in the barn a few years ago.

You never know, but not a lot of woods and trees in NY outer boroughs, unless it escaped from Central Park and ran down to the subways for heat. Anything is possible, I suppose.

Yeah, we have lots of opossums around here, that's an opossum pretty certain.

Yes, it's actually an Opossum...but round these parts possum is the accepted name.

Their bite can be deadly, actually. They have such dirty mouths because they eat carrion, there is loads of bacteria in there. And they are hissy fit mean!
