Groaning Biped

in the swamps it is so dark its hard to see more than a couple feet in front of you, but the statement bears are rare that far south isnt entirely true, the okeefenokee swamp, an hour and a half south of savannah, is one of georgias large bear habitats. in the pine areas like he said they were in is prime bear country. but, the most common animal you may run into is wild pig. (savannah and southern south carolina is overrun with wild pigs)..and they get very active at dusk, they can also give off an odor and make weird grunting, almost moaning sounds,. gators can also "grunt" and their calls can be very hair raising if unfamiliar, though they dont "smell" stinky.. the swamps have many sounds that reverberate throught he night. my guess is he had a pig wonder by. (he stated he was only 10 feet up, not a high climb for most animals. i think his adrenaline got the best of him and mabey distorted his perception a little.....the swamps are scary after all....)
