Forest People Encounters (Bigfoot)

But what about before we evolved intelligence? Even today, when humans are at their most advanced, people do dumb things that no animal without rabies would do, e.g., messing with grizzlies, literaly accidently shooting themselves in the foot, trying to see who can eat the most garbage, etc, etc... If this is the most advanced species on earth and we're this stupid at this stage of evolution, what was it like when the first Human was born? The Special Eds class of of Two Million BC? There was a time before intellect and all that jazz, so we had to be good enough hunters to be successful before tool use, but also bad enough to need to develop intelligence to be prosperous. In other words we developed "intelligence" because we were stupid. Or, as I think, the Annunaki genetically engineered us to be a slave race. Smart enough to work, too dumb to survive on our own.
define "before we evolved intelligence".... thats kinda a wide field with many different branches...... we didnt just jump from the trees and land on the moon in a day or two.... we built on those before us over many lifetimes of learning. as far as survival is concerned, those before us (centuries before us), were probably more intelligent than 90% of anyone alive today. would you or anyone you know be able to survive in the wild today, would you know what plants are edible, how to grow your own foods, how to and how much to grow to last a season?....can most people identify medicinal plants in the wild? heck, most people cant even make fire without an external stimuli today.....sure there are people who make stupid decisions and pay the price, thats the whole concept of darwinism.....lol.... what most consider intelligence today just boils down to comfort....we do and invent things for our own comfort, but in doing so we lose the intelligence of true survivability, we get weak and take a step backwards due to nothing more than sheer boredom.... we have nothing better to do than stupid acts of entertainment...basically......a time before intellect isnt as black and white as you seem to allude to. intelligence grew over many generations and breakthroughs, over many lifetimes of trials and setbacks..... dont underestimate or take the credit from those who set the foundations of who we are today.....

Well said Paul, I agree. I think too sometimes intelligence is confused with ignorance. A person can be smart and uneducated or inexperienced, it doesn't mean they have a low intellect.

I taught myself all the above. But if our ancestors were smarter then us, are we devolving? And the whole point of civilization is that its more comfortable then raw nature survival. Civilization IS comfort, or the means by which we provide ourselves with comfort. And I'm not trying to beat down our ancestors, I'm just saying at SOME POINT in time, there were Humans not as intelligent as us. I was trying also to point out that we are physically ill adapted. This may just be the effects of a civilized lifestyle, but still. Also our genes can be traced back to a common female ancestor related to the other ape familys, but a "mystery gene" not seen in any other humanoid.

didnt say they were smarter than us, just that they were smarter than the present majority at survival... as to whether we are devolving, well in some ways, probably....lol

possibly, but when you reach a level of comfort that you start devolving or forgetting how to survive, just for an easy life, well,..along with that comes desease, unhealthy lifestyles, gluttony, laziness, etc.... that no longer is progression but regresion...... have we reached that point yet.... i dunno, yet to be seen.. but when life becomes so easy, when people dont want to work hard and we have to have gyms to do what no one wants to do all day (work and move) that says a lot.... and then people join said gyms just to feel like they are at least attempting to do better, but then still dont go, lol, kinda says a lot about the current environment and state of activity....lol.... but may be why we are, as you say, physically ill adapted....we just lazy....lol

we share 60% of our genes with a banana...... and a slug....;vo lol....... is something like 70% of our genes.... we are all carbon based, everything on the planet shares DNA and genes.... its the other percentages that separate each lifeform...from species down to sex..... this is one of those things like the "we only use 10% of our brain" arguments that is biased from whatever viewpoint its being used to prove one side or the other but is never taken further than just the phrase itself. never the "total" involvement of the whole, the "big picture" so to speak is always left out..........

Really? I guess that my information was faulty.
faulty?..... or fragmented?... to fit a certain viewpoint or ideal...... there is a difference between the two. something can have a bit of truth but with the rest of the truth left out...that is what makes discussion interesting, sharing with others to see what can be brought to the table we may not have realized or thought of....

On a more serious note, By "share genes" do you mean a common ancester? Or do we ligit have slug DNA? Cause that sounds like genetic engineering.
